Stage Door Canteen

Stage Door Canteen - back by popular demand! The original STAGE DOOR CANTEEN was a nightclub for servicemen in New York City run by the USO during WWII. The troops were entertained by the top performers of the time including some of the most swinging Big Bands of the '40s; the Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Kay Keyser and Count Basie Bands to name a few.
Today, the STAGE DOOR CANTEEN Big Band brings that swinging era of music back to life, playing the hits and sounds of the '40s that made the Big Band era what it was.

A 12-piece Big Band, STAGE DOOR CANTEEN is led by Alto saxophonist Roger Gamache, a graduate of Berklee College of Music. The featured vocalists are Deanna Dustin Kidd, a Berklee faculty member and Mike Connors, a well known Cape Cod musician.
The STAGE DOOR CANTEEN Big Band has performed together for more than ten years to rave reviews in Boston and throughout Southeasterm Massachusetts. We have played to enthuiastic audiences in Europe and have performed as the opening act for the R&B band, "The Commitments".
STAGE DOOR CANTEEN regularly entertains at some of Cape Cod's finest resort restaurants and inns, but loves Liam Maguire's Pub in Falmouth most of all!Band goes on at 9pm - No cover charge.
Come early for dinner and have a Guinness!
